Vital Stats
Full Name: Jordan Barrett Adams
Birthplace: Arlington, TX
Residence: Waco, TX
Ice Cream: Blue Bell
Freestylewalking.org: When and how did you start freestyle
walking?
Jordan Adams: I started around age 7.  Me and Bobby started at
Children’s center, do all kinds of moves and making fun of this
one fat kid who couldn't freestyle walk.
FSW: Yea, I remember my days being a little chunky at the
Children’s center.  Started when I was about 7 and just like you
did to that kid, they did to me.  Wait…oh, I was the kid (tear).
What sport specific training do you do?
JA: I get up every morning around 6 am, get a good thorough
stretch, do some calisthenics with Spencer, and then FSW all
over the Baylor campus.
FSW: Performance enhancing drug of choice?
JA: Any BALCO product.
FSW: Do you believe in Big Foot?
JA: Yeah, his name is Nathan Trussel, and its true what they say.
FSW: Favorite FSW moment?
JA: When I pulled 180 flying bear kick to rail slide blind (puts on
dual eye patches to demonstrate).  It was intense.
FSW: Wow, but please take those off.
JA: My pants?
FSW: No, your eye patches.
JA: Oh sorry, I just like taking off my clothes.
FSW: Do you feel that freestyle walking has prepared you
mentally for football, or has football prepared you
mentally for freestyle walking?
JA: You have to be mentally tough to play football.  But to
freestyle walk, you got to eat sleep and breathe it.  There are no
water breaks or timeouts in freestyle walking.  It is a non stop,
heart pounding thrill ride.
FSW: If, make that a big if, you scored a touchdown this
year would you freestyle walk for your touchdown
celebration?
JA: Doubt it.  But I would do the Adams' trademarked dive into
the end zone.
FSW: Well, many people have done that before, people just
notice because many times you almost don’t make it the end
zone because you take off from the ten yard line.  If you could
be a kitchen appliance, what would you be?
JA: A dishwasher.
FSW: And finally, where do you see this extreme sport
going?
JA: I really don't know.  All I can do is make educated guesses.  I
know that we are in the stone ages of freestyle walking.  This
sport is rapidly growing and should definitely be in the Olympics
in 2020.  I hope that the kids of today will look up to me, and will
see that it's not easy to make it this far.  This one kid I know has
been training real hard.  His name is Connor Patterson, they call
him "the walkin’ king of jr. high."  I know he is going to do big
things in the future, but only time will tell.
